Making the Cut

Making the Cut

Gary Wayne Reynolds has been a member of InnerChange Freedom Initiative—Kansas (IFI) since February, 2005.  Gary became involved with IFI while incarcerated at the Lansing Correctional Facility.  He was subsequently transferred to the Wichita Work Release Facility in December, 2007, where he remained until being released in September, 2008.

Gary_ReynoldsUpon release from Wichita Work Release, Gary was employed at the Wichita Barber College, as an instructor.  In that capacity, he was blessed to have made many strong connections with persons in the Wichita community who would later prove to be more beneficial than he imagined.  One of those persons was a man named Frank.  Frank owned a barber shop in south Wichita and had a faithful following of customers, whom he had developed over the years.  When it came time for Frank to retire, he chose Gary to take over the barber shop.  Gary was thrilled at the opportunity and jumped at the chance.  Gary now operates “Gary’s Barber Shop” in Wichita, Kansas and is developing his own clientele in addition to the many of Frank’s customers who remain faithful.  Gary gives God all the credit for opening that door to him.

The physical shop itself has also been an open door for Gary, as it is large enough to accommodate his other ministry; the praise and worship band known as “Fishers of Men,” which Gary organized and leads in local and regional opportunities for praise and worship.  Gary Reynolds is a success story.  Continue to pray for God’s moving and leading in his life.
