Barbequing with Big Mike
Barbequing with Big Mike
Mike Dallaire is a graduate of IFI and a member of class 16. After serving 31 months in prison and separated from his family it was a joy to see him reunited with everyone at the annual “Booyah” cookout at his parent’s house.
“Big Mike” invited us up to meet the family and partake in some of the most incredible eats I’ve had in some time. Mike is presently attending college and working part time. He walks his daughter to school everyday and is an active member in his church.
Meeting the family and the relatives was great. Mike was able to introduce his mentor to the family and they were interested to learn more about IFI’s role in Mike’s life. One of the real perks of the reentry side of IFI is witnessing the mending of broken families – and the food ain’t bad either.
