Ricky Counts His Blessings

Ricky Counts His Blessings

Ricky Byrd’s mentor met with him a few days after his release from Tucker prison. When asked how he was doing, Ricky stated, “I feel like God has been blessing me.” Ricky showed his mentor the car that he had received as a gift from his old boss. To add to that blessing, his mentor was able to hand him a ”Freedom Basket” filled with clothes, shoes, and hygienic products, a gift from the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene.

Ricky’s focus is now on building a foundation for a new life which will allow him to move back in to his old house and back in to his children’s lives.  His old house is across the street from where he is presently living.

Ricky is growing as a man, a father, and a person. He is committed to a changed life. The IFI program has a goal of seeing lives changed everyday. Ricky is glad he is one of those success stories that prove the program is working.
