Field Office Internship Opportunities

Field Office Internship Opportunities

PFM offers exciting internship opportunities in various Prison Fellowship field offices during the summer seasons as well as throughout the year.  We offer challenging ministry opportunities for college students who want to learn about prison ministry through:

  • Assisting with volunteer and church recruitment activities
  • Participating in a local Prison Fellowship Ministry Delivery Team
  • Working with local directors, helping with programs such as Angel Tree camping and mentoring
  • Ministering in detention facilities (either adult or juvenile)
  • Participating in a Christian Worldview Week in the National Capital Area, Lansdowne, Virginia (only available for summer internships)

Field offices that are possibly participating in the 2010 Internship Program are located in the following cities/states:

Interns will either be on a volunteer commitment or paid a minimum of $7.25 an hour (20 to 40 hours a week) or the associated state's minimum wage, also depending on financial support in the designated areas.  Interns will also be given the opportunity to participate in a Christian worldview seminar in July, with airfare and accommodations included.

Interested students can send their resume and cover letter to internresumes@pfm.org, indicating which field office you are specifically interested in when applying.  Please note all field internships are responsible for providing their own housing.  More information about our internship program, including our National Office internships (located in Lansdowne, VA), is available on our website:  www.prisonfellowship.org/internships.
