Prison Fellowship, the world’s largest outreach to prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families and Breakpoint, which equips Christians to live out their faith in the culture, have exciting internships available for undergraduate and graduate students.

 

We invite you to apply your academic experience in a Christian ministry environment in our National Office by offering the enclosed list of dynamic internships.  Our National Office location in Lansdowne, VA is also a great place to spend the summer due to it’s proximity to Washington, DC.

  • Research Assistant (20-40 hours/week)

We are seeking a Research Assistant in our Executive Office who will support and enhance Prison Fellowship’s knowledge and understanding of prison-related statistics and continually stay abreast within the criminal justice world.  Specific requests include compile state-related statistics and research connections between crime, poverty, and the fracturing of the family and related factors of influence.  As an opportunity to directly inform the leaders of Prison Fellowship, the nation’s largest prison ministry, this is a unique internship for someone who has a passion for both research and prison ministry.  The qualified individual will possess PC proficiency, a proven ability to gather data and details, strong written and oral communication skills, strong interest in prison ministry, and a proven self-starter.  Suggested Major(s): Criminal Justice, Communications, Journalism, English, Writing, or Business.



  • Marketing Assistant (20-40 hours/week)

Members of Prison Fellowship’s running team are united by their passion for running and their desire to reach prisoners and their children with the love of Christ.  Prison Fellowship is seeking a dynamic individual to reach out and establish a deepened connection with the current participants of this running group, while also deepening each participant’s understanding and commitment to Prison Fellowship.  Combined with the opportunity to creatively expand the team’s overall online presence and social media connection, this is a unique internship for the hard-working, fun-of-heart.  The qualified individual will possess PC proficiency, strong written and oral communication skills, strong interest in prison ministry and running, attention to detail, have a proven understanding of social media networking, and a proven self-starter.  Suggested Major(s): Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English, Writing, or Public Relations.
