Lansdowne, Va., Oct. 29, 2010 —Two-time Academy Award winner and producer Hilary Swank visited Prison Fellowship to join a panel talk about the importance of faith in prisoners’ lives and the role of the local church in justice reform. The panel followed a movie screening of the film “Conviction,” in which Swank stars. She carries the lead role in the movie that is based on the gripping true story of Betty Anne Waters, who spent 18 years trying to clear her brother, Kenny, of a wrongful murder conviction.
“Conviction,” opens nationwide Friday, October 29, 2010.
