Prison Fellowship is pleased to announce the re-launch of Inside Journal®, a newspaper written to appeal to the unique needs and interests of the prison population. Distributed through chaplains free of charge, Inside Journal delivers timely, inspirational content—and most importantly the Gospel—to inmates who might otherwise never have access to it.
How do you reach prisoners who can’t or won’t read the Bible, talk to a chaplain, or attend faith-based programming?
Prison Fellowship® has responded with the re-launch of Inside Journal®, a newspaper written to appeal to the unique needs and interests of the prison population. Distributed through chaplains free of charge, Inside Journal delivers timely, inspirational content—and most importantly the Gospel—to inmates who might otherwise never have access to it.
Chaplains and prisoners have responded enthusiastically. In less than a year, Inside Journal’s circulation has grown by 80 percent. Seventy-two thousand copies now go out quarterly to 359 correctional facilities in 47 states, and demand continues to rise steadily.
Do the facilities in your area receive Inside Journal? You can help Prison Fellowship circulate this life-giving, cost-effective ministry tool into more correctional facilities by mentioning it to jail and prison chaplains. To learn more or to place an order, tell chaplains to contact Prison Fellowship at insidejournal@pfm.org . |
For just pennies a copy, Inside Journal communicates the Gospel to prisoners in an engaging, accessible way. And prisoners respond. Recently an inmate named Antonio wrote: “Dear Inside Journal, I would like to give my life to Jesus. Please help me make the change . . .I have been locked up for 10 years and still have seven more years to go, but I see a lot of good happening to people who give their lives to Christ, and I think it’s time for me to do the same.” Prison Fellowship responded with materials and support to help Antonio grow in his new commitment.
Inside Journal can complement the in-prison ministry you perform as a volunteer. Though circulation has grown rapidly since 2010, inmates at only one tenth of facilities have access to its valuable content. To help get it into the hands of a chaplain at a facility where you minister, contact Prison Fellowship at insidejournal@pfm.org .
