A Visit to Death Row

April 23, 2011 by Alyson R. Quinn

Holy Saturday is a somber day, as Christians continue to reflect on the death of Christ and prepare eagerly for His resurrection. It is fitting that today, Chuck Colson will visit death row as part of an Easter weekend trip to William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama.

Please pray for Chuck as he soberly draws near to those under the sentence of death, and as he ministers to those who, although not sentenced to die by a human court, still live daily with the “wages of sin.” Pray along with us that the Good News of the resurrection of Jesus Christ will dispel all darkness and gloom from the prison and give unspeakable joy to those incarcerated there.

Check back this afternoon for photos and stories from this unique opportunity.
