Tim Tebow’s Prison Ministry

December 16, 2011 by Motte Brown

Seems like every week I’m reading about some miraculous, come-from-behind victory from Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. Which has playoff as well as gospel implications. That’s right, gospel implications. Because Tim never misses an opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ.

And he’s not content to just talk about Jesus in post-game interviews. He goes to one of the darkest places on earth to talk about Jesus — death row.

Two years ago, Tim spoke at Prison Fellowship’s National Prayer Breakfast Reception in Washington D.C. about his prison ministry. And he spent a good portion of his talk encouraging the work of Prison Fellowship.

Tim Tebow: That’s why [a ministry] like Prison Fellowship is unbelievable. Because it’s giving guys that are ready the opportunity to trust Christ. It’s putting that in front them. And they are people that need hope. They are people that need something in life. Because they have nothing. They have absolutely nothing. But they can find everything when they find a relationship with Jesus Christ.
