Last week, Prison Fellowship, in partnership with singer-songwriter Idalee, released “Heal,” a music video and documentary recorded at the Carol Vance correctional facility outside of Houston, Texas.  Idalee performed his new song with a band composed of residents from the facility, in front of an audience of their fellow prisoners.

The song and video have received attention from a number of disparate news and media outlets.  On Thursday, the New York Post interviewed Idalee about the motivation for the song and the experience of recording behind bars.  The Huffington Post, AXS.com, Hearitfirst.com, and Elmore Music have all featured Idalee and the video.

Recently, Idalee sat down with Cyrus Webb of BlogTalkRadio.com to discuss the project and the hope of transformation.  To listen to the interview, use the audio player below.  If the player doesn’t appear in your browser, the interview is available here.)

Idalee’s new EP, Starting Now, is now available for download.  Visit Idalee.com for more information.
