Angel Tree Breaks Down Barriers

December 2, 2016 by Prison Fellowship

Teshauna experienced the impact that Angel Tree® has on families with incarcerated parents firsthand. Her father was in prison, and the experience was difficult for Teshauna and her family. But Angel Tree stepped in and helped.

"I think Angel Tree brought [our family] back together,” she says in this week's Insider.

It's difficult for those incarcerated to maintain relationships with their loved ones on the outside. "Angel Tree breaks that barrier," Teshauna says.

Teshauna now works at Celestial Ministries School of Fine Arts in Chicago. She invests in the inner city children of her hometown, helping the children break down their own barriers to receive an artistic education.
