Join Prison Fellowship® for our Second Chances 5K runs this April in Denver and St. Paul!
65 million Americans have a criminal record. These Americans face a widespread social stigma and more than 44,000 documented legal restrictions. With limited access to education, jobs, housing, and other things necessary for a full and productive life, they enter a "second prison" of barriers that can seem insurmountable.
Prison Fellowship is declaring this April "Second Chances Month"—a whole month dedicated to the spiritual and social restoration of the formerly incarcerated.
By participating in our Second Chances 5K runs/walks, you help raise awareness of this "second prison." We run to unlock second chances so that people can reach their God-given potential.
We seek:
- to expose and overcome social stigma and restrictions;
- to challenge stereotypes of the formerly incarcerated;
- and to restore hope for people who want to fully and freely contribute their gifts so their communities can flourish.
Early bird registration has been extended to February 8. Races will be held in Denver, Colorado, and St. Paul, Minnesota.
