Welcome to Second Chance Month! Prison Fellowship® and our diverse group of partner organizations are raising awareness this month of the hardships former prisoners face upon their return to society. Will you join us?
SECOND CHANCE MONTH: A NATIONAL MOVEMENT
On March 30, representatives from Prison Fellowship and our partners declared April as Second Chance Month at a press conference held at the National Press Club. Former prisoner Casey Irwin shared how collateral consequences and social stigma impacted her as she attempted to reintegrate into society on more than one occasion.
If you missed it, read our report.

SEN. PORTMAN INTRODUCES RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT RETURNING CITIZENS
In support of Prison Fellowship's declaration, Sen. Portman (R-Ohio) has introduced a resolution to Congress declaring April Second Chance Month.
"I hope that we all can join together on a bipartisan basis during Second Chance Month and all year round to support those who are returning from prison and want a fair shot at living an honest and productive life," the senator said.
