Easter Hope Events are an annual tradition for Prison Fellowship®. Chuck and Patty Colson regularly celebrated our Lord’s resurrection with incarcerated men and women. That’s why we were heartbroken when prisons had to close. But God has made a way for us to bring a Hope Event® into prison—virtually!
Prison Fellowship Hope Event feature speakers, musicians, and other performers who convey the life-changing message that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. While providing a brief respite from the challenges of prison life, these events give prisoners the chance to respond to Christ and take the next step of joining a faith community behind bars.
To celebrate this year, we have recorded a full Easter celebration—including music, testimonies, and a beautiful altar call—and are partnering with several departments of corrections to broadcast inside their prisons via closed-circuit television!
We would also like to invite you to experience this virtual event alongside the church behind prison walls. This virtual Hope Event features messages from James Ackerman, Andrew Palau, Annie Goebel, and Richard Andrew, with special footage from Christian artist Lecrae’s visit to prison. PRISON FELLOWSHIP’S RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Prison Fellowship® has served prisoners, former prisoners, and their families for more than 40 years. Our vision is to see all those affected by crime and incarceration restored to God, to their families, and to their communities. While the Coronavirus and current public health situation will temporarily affect some of our programs, our commitment to that vision is unwavering. We will continue to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ into prisons however we can, advocate for a more restorative criminal justice system, support second chances, and work to support and strengthen families with a parent in prison.
