Washington, D.C., July 22, 2024—Prison Fellowship, the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving currently and formerly incarcerated people and their families, announced that its short storyteller video, From Lawbreaker to Lawmaker: The Power of Second Chances, has won a Silver Telly award in the General – Not for Profit category. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and are judged by leaders from video platforms, television streaming networks, and production companies.
“We are immensely pleased with this honor and our video team’s achievement,” said Prison Fellowship Senior Vice President Kelly Friedlander. “This award is confirmation of the excellent work and dedication of our entire marketing team, who together captured the essence of this powerful second chance story.”
The award-winning video showcases the inspiring journey of Jermaine Wilson, Prison Fellowship mission ambassador, who overcame tremendous obstacles, including incarceration, to turn his life around and become a popular city mayor.
