ANGEL TREE CHRISTMAS REGISTRATION

We'll help you re-connect hurting families and share the Good News of Jesus Christ—the ultimate Christmas gift—with prisoners' children who live right in your area. Your simple act of love will give joy to families who might otherwise have little to celebrate, as you show these families the true meaning of Christmas.
How Does Angel Tree Work?
HOW DOES ANGEL TREE WORK?
Angel Tree Christmas begins when a church, group, or organization registers for the program. Once registered, the process works like this:
- Beginning as early as October, the Angel Tree coordinator will receive the names of Angel Tree children who were signed up by their mom or dad in prison.
- The Angel Tree coordinator and other volunteers will contact each child’s caregiver to confirm permission for the child to participate and to discuss appropriate gifts.
- The church will set up an Angel Tree display with Angel Tree name tags for all the children, showing their ages and suggested gift ideas.
- Church members will hear about the Angel Tree program through their Sunday bulletins, pulpit announcements, etc. They will visit the Angel Tree display and select names of children needing Christmas gifts.
- Before Christmas, church members will work together to purchase, wrap, and deliver a gift for each child on behalf of his or her incarcerated parent—and in the process, share the Gospel.
VIRTUAL ANGEL TREE: A NEW OPTIONAL WAY TO SERVE CHILDREN OF PRISONERS
Prison Fellowship® is committed to the health and well-being of Angel Tree volunteers like you and the families we serve. As Christmas approaches, our team has been preparing for worst-case scenarios in light of COVID-19, including the reality that many churches may be closed or other restrictions may be in place. Conducting Angel Tree Christmas the same as years past just may not be possible for many of our partners.
Virtual Angel Tree is a new, effective, and optional way for you to facilitate your Angel Tree program: You will have the flexibility to operate exactly as before, incorporate this new approach entirely, or apply a combination.

ANGEL TREE AND CELEBRATE RECOVERY PARTNERSHIP
