Inside Journal® is a newspaper for prisoners that is published four times a year (March, June, September, and December) in Men's, Women's, and Spanish editions. It's also available in PDF format (download Adobe Reader.) If you have a friend or family member behind bars, we encourage you to print a copy of Inside Journal and mail it to them as a source of encouragement, information, and inspiration! Or they can ask their chaplain if their facility is already receiving it.
While individual subscriptions are not available, chaplains or prison ministry volunteers wanting FREE bulk shipments (minimum 10) can click here to place a new order. To change or cancel an existing order, write to chaplainresources@pfm.org
Launched in 1990, Inside Journal is packed with a variety of inspiring and engaging content on topics like parenting, conflict resolution, trauma and addiction recovery, and much more. Each edition offers the hope of the Gospel, relatable stories of other prisoners with transformed lives, and practical advice about making the most of a prison sentence.
This newspaper also includes free resources for prisoners, such as Bible studies, devotionals, and crossword puzzles. At only around 65 cents a copy to publish and ship, Inside Journal is a cost-effective resource for bringing encouragement and hope to the men and women behind bars. Reaching more than 900 correctional facilities in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico, Inside Journal has a circulation of more than one million copies per year.
