TIMELESS EXAMPLES OF THE ABIDING HOPE OF CHRIST
Because of Angel Tree, incarcerated parents are able restore and strengthen relationships with their children and families.
Founded by a former prisoner who witnessed firsthand the deep need for connection between prisoners and their children, Angel Tree has grown to become the largest national program in serving some of the 2.7 million children of prisoners. Prison Fellowship mobilizes local churches and community organizations to serve hundreds of thousands of children, sharing the love of Christ with prisoners’ children and families.
“TO BE A REAL FAMILY AND KNOW THAT NOTHING WILL EVER TEAR US APART AGAIN MADE THE PRISON SENTENCE, THE CONCRETE WALLS, THE FENCES, AND THE COILED BARBED WIRE SEEM IRRELEVANT.”
-DIANE, ANGEL TREE MOM

ABOUT ANGEL TREE
For 2.7 million children in the U.S., that story may be filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration. Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Christ. Every Angel Tree parent’s family is also given access to a free, easy-to-read copy of the Bible (available in English or Spanish). And while Angel Tree starts with a gift, the it doesn’t end in December. All year, you can join Angel Tree to help to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families in your community. From Angel Tree Camping® to Angel Tree Sports Clinic™ to mentoring opportunities, there are so many ways for churches, organizations, and volunteers to have a lasting impact on the lives of Angel Tree children, their caregivers, and their families!
