My son, Jerry, is currently in prison. He has never been in trouble. He is scared and not sure what to do. I have been telling him about Jesus and praying he has a real encounter with Jesus. I am also praying for God’s protection.
Heavenly Father, Thank You that the prayers of the righteous availeth much. I stand in agreement with all that are praying for Jerry that you touch his heart, soul, and mind. I pray Jerry comes into the saving knowledge of who You are and what You’ve done. I pray also that the eyes of Jerry understanding be opened that he may see Your goodness and mercy towards him. Keep Jerry in Your hands Father, protect and nourish him while he is incarcerated and let a righteous change take place in him that when he gets out he will live his life in obedience and dedication to You. Please bless him in Jesus name we pray.
Our household says a prayer for prisoners twice a day at meals. We will keep Jerry included in those prayers.
Romans 15:1-7 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please Himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. May the God Who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Amen
Dear Lord Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer, I pray for Jerry who is in prison and I pray for any victim(s) and their families. God has instituted governments to maintain order and to protect citizens, and if a person breaks the laws of the land, the Bible says that person will bear the punishment for their actions. If going to jail or prison is the appropriate punishment for what a person has done, according to the laws of their nation, the Bible does not excuse that person or seek to free them. Amen
I prayed that Jerry would have a heart for Jesus and to come to know Him.
