Bless them during the season of Advent as they await the coming of Christ into their hearts, minds and lives. Help them experience the remarkable Gifts of the Holy Spirit that will bring the Wisdom, Right Judgement and True Peace of Heart. Lead them all to Your Holy Scriptures this year in ways they never thought possible. We all walk our paths on this earthly road in different ways God can ease the burdens and make the every day events seem miraculous. Be with Sam in his time of concern and let him know it is all part of Your Holy Plan. Amen

Place people along that path that will help and encourage them. If his family members have fallen give them the strength to get up and move forward. We also ask that you continue to hold Sam close to Your Heart. Let the Scriptures pen up a new way of looking at the world for him. Grant him true Wisdom and Forgiveness. Amen

So, I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, I pray for Sam, for his family in Oregon, and for any victim(s) and their families. I pray they will read daily the Upper Room, where the world meets to pray. It is also online. Amen
October 14, 2023 at 10:34 am #101146JudyParticipantDear Lord we ask that You continue to hold Sam’s family in Oregon close to Your Sacred Heart. Keep them safe physically, mentally, and spiritually from all those who roam the earth seeking the ruin of souls. Guide them to a strong Faith Community that will be there for them when they need them most. Let daily prayer and Scripture become a part of their lives. We also ask You to bless Sam in his concern for others. Grant him the peace of heart that only You can give. May the Holy Spirit engulf him with Wisdom, Fortitude and Perseverance until he can reunite with his family. Amen
November 21, 2023 at 5:56 pm #101522JosephParticipantLord, we thank you for Sam’s request. We thank you for his faith in believing in You, knowing that he is not alone in this journey called life. You know the family dynamic, the strong points, the memories good and bad, the circumstances, and the current lines of communication. Father we ask that in the midst of it all, that your Holy Spirit brings them closer. We pray for healing and understanding, grudges are let go of, and their household become stronger than ever before!
You’ve given your son Jesus to die on the cross to show us how to live and we thank you for grace and mercy. We pray that you continue to teach us to see each other how you see us.
In Jesus’ name, amen -
