I pray for my fiance Joey that he continues to hold fast to his faith in Jesus and that God protect him while he goes through this difficult struggle of healing the injuries that the were inflicted upon him. He had a seizure while incarcerated and in restraining him thinking he was fighting back he was injured. In the six months since his injury he is worsening. He is in fear for his safety and doesn’t sleep for fear they will house him with someone and he will have to defend himself. He is in a wheelchair now as in a lot of pain and gets discouraged. He is also afraid to be sentenced and will not take a plea bargain because he is afraid that his medical treatment will end as soon as he goes to prison.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation . . .whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life . . .of whom shall I be afraid.? Psalm 27:1
Heavenly Father, we lift Sarah and her fiance Joey to you right now Lord. There are many aspects of incarceration that bring fear, uncertainty, anxiety and discouragement but we know that if You are for us, who can be against us? I pray for a hedge of protection around Joey, his mind, heart and physical body, let no weapon formed against him prevail. I ask for your favor and intervention in his sentencing that You bring about a fair and just outcome. I pray for compassionate jail staff to supervise and care for Joey. I pray that You bring other brothers into his life who can help him remain faithful to You Lord and keep him strong in his faith. I pray for comfort, peace and strength for Sarah as well as she stands in the gap with Joey. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
