I have a friend who’s son is being released after 33 years of incarceration. Please pray for him and his family.
Dear Jesus, may Tama’s friend’s son be heavily protected and guided by the Holy Spirit upon his release from prison. May he make the right choices in his life to keep him out of harm’s way. I pray God that you give him your peace and your wisdom, to fight off the enemy’s tactics. Please bless him so that he may gain a fruitful life in your name. Amen Jesus.
Heavenly Father, please bless Tama’s friend and her son as they are reunited after a very long time, separated by incarceration. As they face the challenges of rebuilding their relationships, please guide the family with Your mercy, Your compassion, and Your grace. Let Your love flow through them all to one another. Help them to strengthen, encourage, and guide one another to glorify You in all that they do, say, think, and feel. Help them to celebrate joyously while navigating the inevitable difficulties lovingly. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen!

Loving God, we lift up Tama’s friend who is being released after so many years. God we know that there will be challenges ahead, but there is nothing and nowhere your love can’t reach. Provide pathways of healing for broken relationships, and open doors of opportunities for future growth. We thank you for your grace and the redeeming power of Jesus Christ to restore our lives into the fullness of His glory. And God, please provide moments of thanksgiving and celebration in the days to come. Allow a space for joy! We ask these things and trust in your amazing grace, in Jesus name, Amen.
Matthew 22:34-40 The Greatest Commandment. Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, I pray for Tama’s friend whose son is being released after 33 years of incarceration. I pray for him, his family, and for any victim(s) and their families. If they are not already doing so, I pray they will daily read “A Daybook of Grace – a year of devotions to draw you near to the Heart of God.”
Dear Lord, it has been many months since Tama’s friend’s son has come home. Please continue to guide him in his new life especially with his mom. He is no longer the child she watched throughout his trial and incarceration. Help both of them adjust to their relationship as adults. Please give them a strong faith community that will welcome him back and truly practice the forgiveness that Jesus taught. Help him to continue to be strong and grow in Your Holy Word. Let him find meaningful employment that will enable him to provide for himself and will give him the dignity he has been granted by being a child of God. In weak moments sustain him and give him people who will encourage him to make right choices. Despite his past experiences let him feel Your Mercy and Love daily . Amen
