Minister to the Families of the Incarcerated
Family Embraced is a tool kit developed by Angel Tree to help churches take that next step of investment in the lives of prisoners’ children, their caregivers, and their incarcerated parents. It includes a creative combination of videos, facilitated small-group discussions, and group activities that makes it easy to use and flexible. There are eight sessions, which can be covered sequentially and in their entirety, or in a pick-and choose fashion as best fits a church’s needs and interests.
Family Embraced includes:
- DVD: Eight 20-minute segments that begin each session. These include moving, informative interviews from the real experts—prisoners’ children, their caregivers, incarcerated parents, and those who minister to them.
- Facilitator’s Guide: Walks the facilitator through the process of leading the sessions, including the use of icebreakers, video discussion questions, and learning exercises.
- Participant Guide: Allows participants to follow along and make personal notes. Downloadable from the CD/DVD, so facilitators can print as many as they need.
