Washington, D.C.—Prison Fellowship® announced today that Natika Washington has been named its new vice president of foundations and corporate sponsorships. Washington comes to Prison Fellowship after working as the chief development officer at Polaris, a leader in the global fight to eradicate modern slavery. Prior to that, she served as the director of global programs at the U.S. Department of State for eight years.

“Natika brings a wealth of experience to this position as she plays a key leadership role with Prison Fellowship,” said James Ackerman, president and CEO of Prison Fellowship. “In this pivotal time of growing the ministry to serve more individuals and families impacted by the justice system, Natika and her team will help maintain and cultivate relationships that will strengthen the financial foundation of Prison Fellowship for years to come.”

“I am so honored and blessed to join the Prison Fellowship family. It is by God’s grace that I can continue working on human rights issues now through this new journey across our criminal justice system,” said Natika Washington. “God’s plan for my life is ministry which has led me to work alongside this amazing team of professionals and supporters of the most marginalized communities and families affected by incarceration in America. I look forward to building bridges that will support the continued growth of families and reintegration of reformed prisoners.”
