With 40 years of experience helping restore men and women behind bars, Prison Fellowship advocates for federal and state criminal justice reforms that transform those responsible for crime, validate victims, and encourage communities to play a role in creating a safe, redemptive, and just society.

In 2014, Idaho adopted the Justice Reinvestment Act, which sought to reform the state’s justice system and utilize the savings to increase public safety and reduce recidivism. Several measures were enacted in Idaho that related to criminal justice in the 2016 legislative session strengthening the state’s substance abuse programs and allowing individuals currently held in a county jail to be involved in community service projects.
