ADVOCATE FOR JUSTICE THAT RESTORES
If you share our vision for a justice system that restores all those impacted by crime and incarceration, please join our growing network of advocates. Together we can inspire the Church, change the culture, and advance justice reform.
TAKE ACTIONWith more than 45 years of experience helping restore men and women behind bars, Prison Fellowship advocates for federal and state criminal justice reforms that recognize the value and potential of every person. We promote reforms that help transform those responsible for crime, validate victims, and create safer communities through proportional punishment, constructive corrections culture, and second chances.
In Michigan, Prison Fellowship is working to educate Michigan voters and legislators about criminal justice policies that prioritize restoration, public safety, and fairness. Prison Fellowship supports modernizing pretrial justice systems to keep neighborhoods safe as well as effective and ethical policing practices that strengthen community trust in law enforcement. It’s time to create a system of justice in Michigan that reflects the God-given dignity of those impacted by crime and incarceration.

PRISON FELLOWSHIP IN MICHIGAN
Prison Fellowship is committed to reforming the justice system in Michigan through justice that restores—encouraging safer communities, respect for victims, and transformation for men and women who have been convicted of crimes.
In 2020, Prison Fellowship contributed to the passage of a comprehensive jail reform package that eliminated license suspensions for failure to pay fines and fees, reclassified many traffic misdemeanors as civil offenses, and eliminated mandatory minimum jail sentences. Additionally, Prison Fellowship has worked to streamline and improve parole decision making and raise the age from 17 to 18 for juvenile court jurisdiction—ensuring that young people are held accountable for crime but without the negative risks caused by placement in the adult justice system.
