With 40 years of experience helping restore men and women behind bars, Prison Fellowship advocates for federal and state criminal justice reforms that transform those responsible for crime, validate victims, and encourage communities to play a role in creating a safe, redemptive, and just society.

During the 2015-2016 legislative session, there were two notable efforts in Nebraska to reforms its criminal justice system. The first, created the Committee on Justice Reinvestment Oversight to oversee reinvestment of state funds for the creation and expansion of reentry, restitution, and alternative sentencing programs. The second, which ended with the legislature overriding a veto, eliminated the death penalty for all crimes and instead replaced it with life without parole.
