MORNING SESSIONS
Angel Tree: Equipping Churches To Care for Families
Did you know approximately 5.2 million children nationwide have experienced parental incarceration at some point in their lives? Children of incarcerated parents face many challenges, but your church can change the trajectory of these children’s lives through Prison Fellowship® Angel Tree. Hear from churches as well as Angel Tree® partners as they share how you can come alongside families impacted by incarceration.
How To Build and Equip Your Prison Ministry Team
1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.” In this breakout session, you will learn how God has uniquely gifted your congregation to provide hope, mercy, and love to those impacted by incarceration. We’ll share how you can leverage Prison Fellowship’s expertise and tools, as well as the giftings of your church, to better minister within the context of your community.
Be a Voice for Brighter Futures
For most people, our worst choices don’t trap us forever. But for the 1 in 3 American adults with a criminal record, this is their reality. Men and women with a record face nearly 44,000 legal barriers preventing access to education, employment, housing, and other essentials. Hear practical examples of ways churches have sought ways to seek justice, love mercy, and restore hope for people in need of a second chance.
Creating a Holistic Ministry in Your Church
Incarceration impacts the entire family. In this breakout you’ll learn how to create a holistic ministry that impacts everyone, including your church and the surrounding community. Angel Tree, in-prison ministry, and advocating for second chances can be more than just individual ministry opportunities—they can be part of an interconnected outreach to your entire community. Come learn how other churches have created a unified ministry.
Best Practices for Reintegration Ministry
Join a panel of speakers as they discuss the pivotal role churches can play in welcoming people home from prison. This workshop will provide practical tools and insights into building restorative transitional ministries. Gain knowledge and equip your congregation to engage in transformative ministry that fosters hope, healing, and restoration.
