For the bulk of the past 10 years, I’ve been on one side of Angel Tree®. As a writer for Prison Fellowship® on a national level, I get to hear and write about all of the amazing things that happen during December and beyond, as children and incarcerated parents around the country reconnect through gifts purchased and delivered by volunteers.

#GivingTuesday | Angel Tree | Giving Tuesday | National Day of Giving | volunteerLast Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, Prison Fellowship participated in #GivingTuesday—a global campaign that encourages charitable giving on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
On this one day, Prison Fellowship received a wonderful outpouring of support and raised enough money to help over 1000 prisoners and their families.

Thanksgiving is only two weeks away, immediately followed by the retail-driven Black Friday and Cyber Monday, encouraging people to go out and start making their Christmas purchases.
