PRISON FELLOWSHIP: love

My son, Josh, is in the last round of interviews for a criminal justice position in a nearby county. The final step before getting the job is a background check. They not only look at criminal records, but also at financial, family, and psychological factors.

On Aug. 16, nearly 30 boys and girls gathered around the entrance of the medium-security Avery Mitchell Correctional Facility in the beautiful mountains of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to spend a day with someone they'd been missing lately: their incarcerated fathers.
