  In this week's Insider, we receive an update from Samuel Perez on what's been going on since his time in the youth justice system.

"I want to come back. ... I want to live here. And I want my mom to be here, too."

In Jominiq's home growing up, Christmas was a day he only saw celebrated on TV.

  "I was a fighter. That was all I knew. Just keep fighting, keep fighting … It all caught up to me in the end."

  "I never really understood my story until probably about a year ago," Kerri says.

The neglect Booker received from his mother caused him to look elsewhere for community and family. What he found instead were crime and drugs.

Behind the high walls of prison, Jesus Christ is changing lives of people like Jesús.  

"When I first went to prison, I felt like an outcast."

  "I knew about Christ. I knew about the Gospel," Juan says. "I just didn't know what the Gospel meant."

Tim's story is about a nobody who had no future and no hope. But it's also about the power of God’s love.

"My criminal mind would start thinking about selling drugs again. It was easy, fast money."
