Building the Church inside prison walls
We can’t do it alone.
Prisons can be dark places. Just imagine the weight of all that brokenness, despair, and alienation collected between four thick walls. Does the message of Jesus apply here? We believe it does!
In 2001 Prison Fellowship started Operation Starting Line® (OSL), a collaborative network of ministries seeking to evangelize and disciple prisoners and their families.
OSL brings together dozens of Christian organizations to prisons across the country with a simple, life-changing message: that Jesus came to seek and save the lost.
Together, we can scatter the seeds of God’s Word — a critical first step on the road to new life for countless inmates in search of a new beginning! Learn more about OSL
How do you reach hardened inmates who would never come to a chapel service or a Bible study? With Inside Journal®, a relevant, inspirational newspaper that speaks to inmates about matters close to their hearts in a language they can understand. Every issue of Inside Journal delivers hope, motivation, and practical resources to inmates who want to make a change for the better – and invites them to begin a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Bible Studies and Seminars
God’s Word brings light in the darkest places. Thanks to your support, trained Prison Fellowship volunteers facilitate Bible studies and seminars that help inmates make important discoveries that will draw them closer to God and renew their perspective of the world and themselves. As inmates’ minds and hearts are transformed, they become better prepared to share the Gospel with their peers and lead new lives on the outside.
Through works of grace, acts of justice, and proclaiming truth, Prison Fellowship Ministries is an expression of the church, bringing peace to a broken world.
