Millions of people in America have a criminal record.
Many are ready to own their mistakes, learn from the past, and become who they’re meant to be.
But it’s harder than it should be. At every step of the journey—by unjust laws and daily hurdles—they’re reminded of who they once were.

A person’s past shouldn’t define their future.
You can be a champion for second chances! Send a letter to Congress today asking them to remove barriers for men and women with a criminal record who have faced their consequences and desire to have a brighter future.

- Support second chances all month with the help of our social media toolkit.
- Urge lawmakers to address unreasonable laws that hold people back.
- Change your language to reflect human dignity instead of using labels like “felon,” “convict,” or “offender.”
- Use your voice beyond April and advocate for second chances all year round.
- Host a Second Chance Sunday at your church.
