Dear Lord, watch over Steven, give him the strength and guidance he so needs. Steven’s faith is strong, but prison life is hard on a young man. He hasn’t had a chance, Lord, literally from birth, almost every one around him… Mom, Dad, family, so-called friends giving him drugs and alcohol from a very young age. Lord, you are his bye north. Help him to find his compass . Watch over him, Lord. Wrap your strong and loving arms around him. Keep him focused & faithful. In your name, I pray. Amen
1 John 3:2: “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.”
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for adopting Steven as your own precious son, as a brother of our King and Savior, Jesus. I thank you that though Steven’s father and mother forsake him, the LORD will receive him (Psalm 27:10). Please surround Steven with your perfect and unfailing love and faithfulness and fill him with strength and faith in Jesus alone. Jesus, be Steven’s rock. Be Steven’s compass.
Even though Steven walks through the valley of the shadow of death, Steven shall not fear. Because the Lord is with him, His rod drives out Steven’s enemies and dark forces; the Lord’s staff leads Steven, as one of His dearly loved sheep, to green pastures and quiet waters.
In your name,
Amen
