Wonder Animation’s ‘Father-Daughter Dance’ Inspired by a True Story

December 15, 2016 by Emily Harris Greene

Wonder Animation Studios has released "Father-Daughter Dance," a short animated film inspired by a true story.

A young girl is unable to attend the Father-Daughter Dance because her father is in jail. She writes to the sheriff and asks if she can dance with her father at the jail. What follows is a heartwarming story of compassion and forgiveness.

JJ Heller, whose song "Father-Daughter Dance" with Matt Hammitt is featured in the film, asks viewers at the end to support children with incarcerated parents through Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree.

Nearly 300,000 children will receive gifts in the name of their incarcerated parents this Christmas from churches and organizations that partner with Angel Tree. Thank you for your support and your generosity.

There are still ways you can support Angel Tree this Christmas. Please call 1-800-55-ANGEL to learn more.
