Washington, DC—Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship®—the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and their families—will be featured in an upcoming segment of Adventures in Odyssey.   Adventures in Odyssey is a radio ministry of Focus on the Family.  The segment is entitled "Beyond Repair."

"Beyond Repair" will be featured during the month of October as an audio release and will spotlight Prison Fellowship and the Angel Tree program.  One of the talented actors in this episode is Tony Award-winner Gregory Jbara, best known for his recurring role on the CBS series Blue Bloods.

Adventures in Odyssey was first created in 1987 by Focus on the Family as an audio drama for children.  Since that time, Adventures in Odyssey has broadcast 800 episodes and now reaches more than 750,000 children and their parents in the United States each week through 1,822 radio affiliates.  The Adventures in Odyssey Club serves as the online site for members to have access to hundreds of archived adventures.

ABOUT ANGEL TREE

Angel Tree connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent.  Many churches make an annual commitment to this highly rewarding program and recognize it to care for some of the most overlooked members of our communities.  Last year, more than 290,000 children in all 50 states received presents in the program.

ABOUT PRISON FELLOWSHIP

Prison Fellowship is the nation's largest outreach to prisoners, former prisoners, and their families, and a leading voice for criminal justice reform.  With more than 40 years of experience helping restore men and women behind bars, Prison Fellowship advocates for federal and state criminal justice reforms that transform those responsible for crime, validate victims, and encourage communities to play a role in creating a safe, redemptive, and just society.
