I need your prayers for encouragement & Guidance for my son while he’s serving time for a nonviolent crime. I’m learning so much about prison & I cry it’s so bad my life is on hold til he’s with me again. I know we’re suppose to leave it in Gods hand & I have but it’s difficult at times with what goes in prison on the daily basis. So I need you all to pray for me and my son please. Thank you all for being a blessing to me

Lord provide a sense of overwhelming peace. We know that God is in control, even in the times that seem bad. I thank you Lord for the opportunities that will arise, even now. I pray that God shows His hand strong & mighty and turn this situation around, so that He will be glorified. Thank you God for protection, provision, healing, & restoration. You will see the goodness of the Lord throughout this!

We too are struggling with a similar situation, so we understand your pain and burden. This past year we have done more praying than we ever before. During this time, we have seen many prayers answered and things happen that could have only been caused by the hand of God. Rest assured that the Lord Jesus is in your corner and loves you and hears your requests for help. Our job is to make the decision every day to place our hearts in the Lord’s hands and to trust Him. This becomes easier over time as you see your prayers answered.
When we pray, we do not pray for a specific outcome. We pray for strength and guidance in these five areas: we pray for physical health and safety; we ask the Lord to help us train our minds to meditate on God’s word; we pray that our hearts would always be meek and humble – ready to receive His blessings, and to respond to his voice and touch; we pray for His wisdom from above to help us make the right decisions that lead us to the blessings He has prepared for us; and finally, we ask Him to give us the energy and motivation to meet the challenges each day presents with ease so that we don’t exhaust ourselves and then neglect our prayers and worship.
In times of trouble we must remember that God is good, God is love, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.“ Therefore, He is the only one we truly can trust. Commit your way to him and seek his guidance and fellowship every day.
Almighty God, we pray for Nona and her son, that they will place their trust in, and draw their strength from You and You alone from this day forward. You tell us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (not our own). Your Word says that “Your strength is made perfect in our weakness” so let our weakness be turned into Your power as we place our trust in you. We live in a fallen world which causes us to fall – but you are still on your throne and in control of all things. Your holy Word says that all things work together for good for those that love God, to those that are called according to his purpose. Heavenly Father, we ask for your blessing, protection, guidance, and provision for Nona and her son. We pray that you will guide and strengthen them throughout this difficult time, until it is over. Keep them both safe, healthy, and prospering even in this time of trouble. Nona, we will keep you and your son in our prayers as we pray for our own son.

Nona. I want to clarify something in my earlier post when I said we “didn’t pray for a specific outcome.” That was meant to acknowledge the trust we have in the perfect plan that God has for us. However, we do make specific requests of the Lord every time we pray.
We always start by confessing our sins and shortcomings to regain our fellowship with Him. Our first prayer, for our son and ourselves, is always for those things mentioned above (health & safety, a sound mind, an open heart, wisdom from God, and energy for the day). Then we thank the Heavenly Father for the blessings and answered prayers we have already received. Finally, we make our specific requests for what we want and need for our son, ourselves, and others right now, and in the future. I know this sounds very prescriptive, but it is working for us.
Nona, our hearts ache for you and your son. We have added you both to our prayer list. Remember that God loves you, and with Him all things are possible. May God bless, protect, and prosper you and your son. In the name of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, Amen
