This article was adapted from the Winter 2022 edition of Inside Journal. Inside Journal is a quarterly newspaper printed and distributed by Prison Fellowship® to correctional facilities across the country.
The holidays can be a difficult time for prisoners separated from their families by incarceration. Prisoners can feel disconnected from the love, joy, and peace so often shown in the media this time of year. After all, life—and especially life in prison—is not a Hallmark movie.
But even if this Christmas has its challenges, holiday music can still warm hearts and lift spirits. Inside Journal® asked several current and former prisoners to share a few of their favorite holiday songs that make them feel the warmth and joy of the holiday season.
We've put together a Christmas playlist of some of our readers' go-to favorites. Enjoy!
