For 40 years, Prison Fellowship® has been going into correctional facilities, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those behind bars, and offering the hope of true transformation. Through the use of Bible-based programming, and with the help of thousands of committed volunteers, lives are being changed, hope is being restored, and darkness is being replaced with the promise of a future.
I’ve taught a Bible study in the local church for over 25 years. Once a week I would arrive about 15 minutes early, get my materials out, and chat with any of the women who came early while we waited for the others to arrive.
“So yes, God is full of surprises. Every single one of us should walk around all the time laughing hilariously, because God has put so much surprising goodness in our lives by His grace, faithfulness, and love!”
Those were the final words of my lesson at the Monday morning jail worship service.
